Everyone has their own version of the green smoothie, but we still maintain there’s nothing like Kimberly Snyder’s GGS, Glowing Green Smoothie. Packed with mineral-rich greens and vitamin-packed fruit, it’s easy to see why Kimberley’s hair is thick and healthy and her skin simply glows! It is definitely a must for the WF team.

Kimberly Snyder GGS Recipe (mysolluna.com)

-7 cups chopped spinach (about a medium bunch)
-6 cups chopped romaine lettuce (about 1 small head)
-2 cups cold filtered water
-1 ½ cups chopped celery (about 2 medium stalks)
-1 medium apple, cored and coarsely chopped
-1 medium pear, cored and coarsely chopped
-1 medium banana, peeled and cut in thirds
-2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
– ½ cup minced fresh cilantro
– ½ cup minced fresh parsley Serves 4

Fill blender with 2 cups of water. Blend the spinach and romaine until smooth. Add the celery, apple, pear and herbs, and blend again until smooth. Finally, add the lemon juice and banana, and do your last blend. Pour and eat fresh!

-Unlike juice, the GGS will keep in your refrigerator, as long as its covered, for about two and a half days. Just give it another whirl before you pour it again!

Tips

-To speed up your morning prep time, prepare all the veggies on Sundays and freeze your pre cut fruits in Souper Cubes
-Also, make sure your lemons are always ready to go by juicing into your ice cube trays and you will never miss a day!
-Get in your omega-3s by adding 1-2 tbsps of flax oil.
