With our holiday shopping officially in the bag, we are looking forward with great anticipation to our holiday travel plans. While we would usually be offering these last minute trip tips much closer to travel time, we decided that with so many variables at play, we should get a little reminder out earlier!
Book Your PCR Test!
Even if your destination country is not requiring that you have a negative test, more than likely your airline will require it. Don’t wait to the last minute to book as the spots are going quickly at all the clinics. So, do a little research today and get your family booked. For our followers in Ontario, a very reliable and government approved testing centre is FH Health.com
Travel Insurance is a Must!
Have you booked your Covid Travel Insurance yet? With the advent of the new Omicron variant, now it is more important than ever to get your insurance booked. Although you may have travel medical insurance and trip cancellation/interruption through your credit cards, you will need to double check if you are covered in the event you or someone in your party contracts Covid-19. We highly recommend using Manulife for your Covid-19 coverage, but be prepared to pay a little extra for this peace of mind!
Transfers Are Tricky This Year!
Once you are set with your testing and coverage, you need to plan for your transportation needs. This year rental cars are at an all time premium! So, make sure you have either your rental car booked or your car and driver hired for pick up!!
Complete your Travel Authorization!
Finally, don’t forget to complete the Travel Authorization for your destination country. Most Caribbean destinations require you to complete documentation prior to travelling. The timing for completion of this documentation varies by country, so be sure to check early on this documentation.
