Paradise Is Waiting!

Like many of you, WF is anxiously awaiting Christmas travel. Since we are looking to relax, restore and recharge we have cast our sites on wandering toward the turquoise waters of the northern Caribbean.

Top on our wish list for this holiday season is Turks! Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 low lying coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean south-east of Bahamas. Once you travel to Turks and Caicos, a sophisticated island with world class spas, renowned diving and sugar-white sand beaches you will be changed forever.

The climate is tropical with an average temperature year-round of 82F degrees (27C). With over 350 days of sunshine, there is no bad time to visit! Cooling trade winds grace the island throughout the year, blowing gently across the unpaved coral limestone roads and endless sandy beaches.

Turks and Caicos is the perfect place to relax, recharge and rejuvenate – just what we all need right now.

International flights land on the main island of Providenciales at the Providenciales International Airport (PLS) – so there is easy access from Toronto, New York City and Miami.

With so many world class hotels on the islands, we simply couldn’t choose just 1. So, we looked at the Ambergris Cay, Como Parrot Cay and the Ritz Carlton. Each property has a unique vibe and specialty –
and all will have you come feeling as though you have been away for a month.

Como Parrot Cay

Como Parrot Cay is an award winning property set on its own private Island. Every moment of your stay will be focused on wellness. Whether you are dining at Lotus – on Caribbean specialties and Asian fare or at Terrace on modern Italian – the organic ingredients combined with the subtly of fresh herbs and spices will tempt any palate.

No wellness stay would be complete without a visit to the world famous Como Shambala spa. The spa offers a range of holistic, Asian inspired treatments including Ayurveda as well as aromatherapy. You will pamper yourself all with a view of the North Caicos Channel.

Spend your days paddling around the island, hiking through the coconut plantation or soaking up rays poolside overlooking the beach. Once your day is done, relax back in your suite or villa and let the natural materials used in the décor soothe you to sleep.

Ritz Carlton

The Ritz Carlton features lavishly appointed guestrooms, fine dining and a plethora of activities to keep the whole family busy and happy! Conveniently situated on Grace Bay, you can explore the crystal waters teeming with exotic marine life by kayak or paddleboard. For the more adventurous in your group, there is a sailing or scuba diving.

The dining options are sure to satisfy every palate, from BLT – the modern interpretation of an American Steakhouse to Coralli where you can dine on Mediterranean flavours in a captivating setting – there is something to satisfy every taste bud. Your stay at the Ritz Carlton will leave you wanting for nothing but more time!
