Culture & Politics

This year’s NFL playoffs were legendary. From the turnovers to the upsets and the last second nail biters, this playoff season has been some of the most exciting football ever! This season will definitely go down in history!

It doesn’t matter if you are a Bengals fan, a Rams diehard or if you just watch for the epic new commercials every year!! Super Bowl Sunday is always a fun day to break out the festive feast.

As part of our 21 Day Revive Campaign, WF’s focusing on recipes that help us hit our nutrition goals! We are prepping lots of veggies and revving up our healthy proteins. All that to say – we have a couple of traditional mainstays that help us make the day both nutritious and delicious.

WF's Super Bowl Sunday Line Up

Fresh Guacamole and chips

According to the California Avocado Commission approximately 26 million avocados are sold to prepare 8 million pounds of guacamole for the big game! WF’s recipe is a guaranteed fan favorite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 avocados
  • 1 lime juiced
  • ½ c onion
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mash the avocados and add in the remaining ingredients.
  2. Happy Dipping!

Hummus and Veggie Sticks

There are many natural and delicious hummus brands on the market today, so if you are running short on prep time – this is an easy one to just pick up while you are shopping for your feast. This year WF is going to cut corners on the hummus prep and spend our time chopping up a range of veggies – so if we are tempted to snack during what promises to be nail biter of a game – we have a rainbow of veggies to choose from.

Rosemary and Garlic Lamp Lollipops

One of WF’s favorite finger foods are lamb lollipop classically seasoned with rosemary and garlic. Combine fresh rosemary, garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil. Marinate the lamb for at least an hour and then sear the lamb on each side until browned (med rare) and let stand for 3-5 minutes. WF’s uses the Staub Grenadine grill pan to create a masterpiece every time.

Dry Rub Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are definitely a fan favorite for Super Bowl Sunday – with over 1 Billion wings eaten every year! This year we are looking forward to celebrating with friends so we don’t want to take any chances with this menu staple. The best way to guarantee your wings are cooked to perfection is to invest in an Air Fryer. The Air Fryer has revolutionized the art of homemade chicken wings. Not only do they crisp up like the ones you enjoy at your favorite wing chain – they cook fast, with NO added oil. Super healthy!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • ½ tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning

INSTRUCTION

  1. Combine the ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Toss in the chicken wings and rub the seasonings into them with your hands until fully coated.
  3. Arrange chicken wings in the basket of the preheated Cosori Air Fryer, standing up on their ends and
    leaning against each other.
  4. Cook until wings are golden brown on the outside, about 35 minutes.

Sliders

Sliders are always a crowd pleaser….you can stick to the OG beef on a fresh brioche or opt for a keto friendly version by wrapping it up gorilla style in a fresh leaf of lettuce.
